Summer of AI

Summer of AI is an annual program initiated by ABN AMRO and DEUS focusing on stimulating the adoption of Artificial Intelligence in the Netherlands and Portugal by connecting business and AI talent. Students get the unique opportunity to work within leading Dutch organizations and apply their skills in Artificial Intelligence on a ‘live’ AI case during an 7-week summer hackathon.

The Summer of AI takes place every year during the months of July and August.

For students

During the Summer of AI, spend your time to kickstart your career in AI. Work with leading companies in the Netherlands to solve real problems with Artificial Intelligence. You can sign up individually to work on projects (and meet your fellow students on day 1).

We're open for students in their Masters or third year of Bachelor with demonstrated affinity in data science, artificial intelligence or computer science. PhD and students from university of Applied Sciences are also welcome to apply. A CV selection is part of the selection process.

How to apply?

For organisations

Leading Dutch organisations working with Artificial Intelligence will provide students with challenging cases to work on during their summer break. The Summer of AI is a unique opportunity to contribute to the Dutch AI ecosystem, recruit new top talents in AI, while also solving challenges for your own organisation.

Students are supported by company coaches of the participating companies.

We will kick off with a live get-together to meet your team and mentors and be inspired by our keynote speakers.
